CTRL Government Solutions: Marines

Various aviation platforms in the Marines are also used by the Navy. The support and implementation of CTRL technology to both Marines and Navy is an integral part to the success.

The UL101 is used by a variety of platforms for vehicles and both fixed wing aircraft and helicopters. Many platforms, such as the AV-8 and C-130 have written the UL101 into the manuals.

Implementation

Aviation

CTRL ultrasound technology has been identified as a replacement for older ultrasound technology due to its ease of use and performance. Whereas older ultrasound devices were not as effective and required 2 person operation for testing on aircraft, the UL101 was capable to detect problems quickly, decrease man-hours, and man usage. The designated kit for aviation testing is p/n 000038, the intrinsically safe air audit kit.

AV8: The UL101 is in the peculiar SE classification. SERD 3100 was written and allowances were employed for the squadrons, L-Class Ships, and NADEPS/test squadrons that support the AV-8.

C-130:The UL101 will replace older technology. SERD 3237 was written and material was added to the Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL). Also, a Technical Publication Deficient Report (TPDR) was written to investigate the use of the UL101 for detection of leaks on the Oxygen System and the Cabin Doors.
