CTRL Systems, Inc. (Westminster, Maryland) - On September 5, 2001 Carroll County Commissioners Robin Frazier and Donald Dell of Maryland visited CTRL Systems, Inc. to draw the names of the winners that would receive a full CTRL UL101 Space Hardened Commemorative Version Kit.

The winners were Omega Air of Cape Town, South Africa and Alj Co. of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The winners will receive the units this month. Congratulations to both of them!

This drawing commemorated NASA's choice of CTRL's UL101 for use on the International Space Station. On July 12, 2001, the UL101 was launched into space on the Space Shuttle Atlantis for maintenance onboard the Space Station. This is the first time that ultrasonic technology has been used in space and marks a significant achievement for CTRL.
